The facility worked adequately but there were regular collection and allocation difficulties relating to the inherent administrative issues when dealing with a large public body. Consequently, the average facility draw was greater than necessary and incurring increased borrowing costs. Partnership Finance quickly established a rapport with the customer 'Accounts Payable' contacts and swiftly improved collection of the invoices. In fact, the accelerated cash turn has almost halved the average borrowing requirement and significant savings are being achieved in respect of discount and Service Charges.

The client had been 'encouraged' by his bank manager to convert from an existing overdraft into a Recourse Factoring Agreement. Implementation was hurried and the client inadequately advised of the process and facility operation. The automated ledger managment processes applied by the bank factor did not ideally suit the clients business and within a couple of months the client was spending significant time trying to resolve customer account discrepancies and manage his cashflow. Not surprisingly, the client believed that Factoring was the wrong solution for his business. Partnership Finance convinced him otherwise and completed a full ledger reconciliation before effecting a successful transfer from the bank Factor. Clearly, it was imperative to reinstate stability with the customer base by ensuring the information being used to telephone control the accounts, send monthly statements, and deal effectively with overdue balances was accurate. The ledger quickly settled into an efficient routine and the client was once again able to devote his time to running and growing the business.
